Sage Cottage

The stylish Sage cottage is one of 3 attached cottages in a recently converted 19th century coach house.  The original beams and stonework are beautifully complemented by modern windows and skylights for a cozy, yet light and airy feel.   It opens onto a delightful courtyard, a sheltered spot with a palm tree for shade.  Flowers and herbs are grown in pots for you to enjoy. Sage has a semi-private screened area within the courtyard, furnished with a table, chairs and parasol for alfresco dining. It’s perfect for the long lazy lunches as loved by the French or for enjoying a glass or two of the fabulous Loire Valley wines. External lighting also makes the courtyard a lovely setting in the evenings too.  Sage cottage is light and attractive, tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard.  The fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge are on the ground floor, and the bedroom with king-sized bed and ensuite shower room are upstairs.

This Gite was the original guardsman's cottage, where he slept after parking the carriage and resting the horses.  The cottage is dotted with dove coats, a feature reserved for Manor houses and Chateaux of the era.
